I only post recipes that I have used myself. Pictures coming soon....

Leg of Lamb *Maverick's favorite

Ingredients:

1 Leg of Lamb left on the bone
2 beef or poultry bouillon cubes
15 baby carrots
2 chopped stalks of celery
7-8 baby red potatoes cut in halves(leave skin on)
1/4 garlic clove
Pinch of salt

Submerge the leg of lamb in a large pot of boiling water. Throw in the bouillon cubes until dissolved. Add in the remainder of the ingredients and cover the pot and put on low heat for about 3 hours. Usually makes 4 servings, you can stretch it out if you mix with kibble.

*Note: I remove the garlic and bone before serving, mash the food, and allow to cool before serving to the dog. Please don't feed your dog a cooked bone, splinters easily. Additional servings can be stored in the fridge for 3 days or feel free to eat yourself.

Salmon Surprise
* pan cooked on the stove or grilled on the barbecue

Ingredients:

1 Salmon fillet(can also use catfish or a white fish that is cheaper)
2 handfuls of raw broccoli trees
2 eggs
olive oil if pan frying

Boil the broccoli and 2 eggs in a separate pot. When the eggs begin to crack(hard boil) then this portion is done. Medium heat. I usually drain the hot water, keep broccoli and eggs in a strainer and run cold water over for 30 secs. Drain water again. Remove shells and mash the eggs together with the broccoli.

Cook the salmon skin side up first in about 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Remove the skin once heated and flip over. Usually 15 mins. I chop up the salmon and cook 2-3 mins longer. Once salmon is cool mix with the egg/broccoli mixture. Serve alone or with kibble.

*Note  Not responsible for the howling that will ensue while cooking the salmon! Happens every time!
